I have an autistic son who is 7 years old. And as much as it is challenging raising him, it is also so rewarding in many ways (and very few people could really understand that).
I just wanted to say thank you for sharing your journey and being open about it. It takes great courage to do what you do, and I respect that a lot.
After reading your book for the first time, I am now inspired to work even harder towards understanding my son and building a better relationship with him.

A wonderfully succinct book for those emerging out of old unsuccessful parenting traditions. K. Bron Johnson reminds us to parent a developing human not an expectation.
The notions of allowing time, home as a safe space and acceptance are my favourite themes and struck home deeply. Our own family grows in our knowledge of neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism) and Johnson's book hits the mark for us.
